Our GWR175 partners
We are delighted to thank various organisations in helping to
stage the spectacular GWR175 on the Honeybourne Line. In
particular
- The Railway
Magazine our media partner. Please visit them in the
'Iron Duke' tent during the first weekend
- STEAM: Museum of
the Great Western Railway. Their staff will be present over
both weekends and their display can be visited throughout the
event
- Railwayana Auctions
who have organised a magnificent Railwayana display over the first
weekend, including dozens of Great Western and BR(W) nameplates,
cabsides, smokebox numbers, every BR(W) shedcode plate, totems and
much more. This is a truly spectacular display in the main
marquee. In addition, a major Railwayana auction takes place
on Saturday 5th June from 11.00 and at 14.00 a Charity
auction with some amazing items up for grabs. Full information
about the Railwayana and Charity auctions here!
And our charity partners:
- Railway Children which helps homeless children
all over the world. It's so named because desperate youngsters
often gather at railway stations for warmth and food.
- County Air Ambulance in Gloucestershire
whose amazing work saves countless lives yet depends on public
support.]
- Gloucestershire SANDS - the charity that
helps research into still-birth and infant death and supports
parents who have suffered loss.
Finally the GWR175 committee would like to thank all supporters
with trade stands, advertisers in the programme (on sale at the
event) and countless other individuals and organisations who have
made this event possible.
