- One of a stud of 9 shunting locos, PTR No 26 was built by Huswell Clarke & Co in 1900. It and its fellows were taken into GWR stock in 1908 although it was not renumbered as No 813 until 1923. It was gradually Great Westernised with the addition of numerous GWR style fittings including the ubiquitous brass safety valve cover perched rather precariously on the top of the dome. In 1934 it was sold into the coal industry in the North East but was bought from the NCB in 1967. After a couple of false starts, the loco went into regular service in 2000 and, although based at the SVR, has visited many heritage lines up and down the country since then.
