Taken from the crossing, this picture shows Black Prince about to depart from CRC alongside the newly tidied bank.

Since late last year after suffering a broken hip (her) and a
broken rib (him) the elder states persons from the Lineside
Clearance Team have restricted their efforts mainly to part days at
CRC. This has included clearing the fence line from the
signal box to the stream near the slip, ready for ditching and
re-fencing as requested by Bob Stark. This was followed by the
removal of the re-grown elder bushes from between the ash trees and
hawthorn bushes in the same area as the fence line clearance and
the tidying of the fence line opposite the signal box.
Much of the ground above the ramp and along side platform one is
maintained by Cheltenham Area Group, who have succeeded in making
an excellent floral display, despite the voracious appetites of the
local rabbits. In the past the wild vegetation above both platform
one and platform two has been cut by members from Tewkesbury. In
recent years the three volunteers have become more heavily involved
with other aspects of the GWR, leaving less time to look after this
vegetation.
With Bob Stark's permission the vegetation has been shortened
above the ramp leading to the platform, with a bit of hedge
trimming at the top near the fence. The much larger area
above platform two has been strimmed or brush cut, with the
encroaching bramble hedge completely cut back
